Business Class Computers
The biggest it mistake that small companies make is throwing a discount store PC in the shopping cart whenever they need a new one. Consumer PCs have very short model lifespans, usually six months or less. The end result is mishmash. You can't get replacement parts, you can't keep spares, and every one needs different software and device drivers.
Business class PCs have warranties of at least three years, and feature built in monitoring. You can keep a spare on-hand, and if one crashes your employee doesn't need to take a vacation day.
