Shopping Carts
The first thing that comes to mind for most of us who buy and sell online is the shopping cart. Standard shopping cart software allows the visitor to shop in different 'departments' and place items into the virtual 'shopping cart' for eventual purchase on line. Net2Business® shopping carts may contain such extra features as:
- "In Place" cart, that does not interrupt shopping
- Automatic price updates - always!
- Quantity, time, weight, customer #, or any combination
- Exact Shipping by weight from 3 major carriers simultaneously
- Order forms that 'remember' the customer
- Security that passes independent audits every time
- "Send a Hint" feature
- "Recommended With ___________" feature
Merchant Accounts
PayPal was created for amateurs and is most useful for websites that sell only a few items.
A Merchant Account is set up between the Merchant and a Processor to allow for the secure movement of funds from credit card payments to the Merchant's bank account. The Processor already has agreements in place with the major credit card companies. A single processor can handle Master Charge and Visa, often Discover Cards and even some smaller names like Diners Club and Kroger credit cards. In general, American Express requires a separate agreement, but is then made available through the same processor.
The credit card companies, through the Processor, have separate agreements with the Merchants. Those agreements and fees are separate from the webmaster's scope of service, but Net2Business® can assist you in the setup process and coordinate access through our secure server to a secure Gateway.
Shipping
Shipping options range from free with purchase, to actual cost plus a mark-up. Some merchants create a grid by price and insert a high-average number. Net2Business® is able to get exact shipping costs from UPS, Fed Ex and the US Postal Service simultaneously, if the weights and shipping dimensions are known.
