Net2Business Web-Based Email
| Web-based email allows
you to access your mail from any web browser. There are several important
differences: You can only access email that is left on the server. Microsoft Outlook and other mail programs remove the mail from the server when they deliver it, so you must make sure that there is not a machine running which checks your email account. An example of this, you normally access email from a desktop computer, but use a laptop while traveling. You must turn off the email checking on the desktop for there to be any email to access on the server. |

| Logging On |
| To
log onto your email, point your browser at https://mail.yourdomain.com:20000.
(Use your own domain name.) Note: the "https:". That tells the browser that the connection is secure, and must be present. Log in with your email user name and password. |

| Read your email by clicking on a link. To delete email, check the box and hit the delete button. Note that there is no deleted email folder, and you cannot recover an email once it is gone. |

| Web-based email does not
automatically open the email for you the way Outlook does. You usually
need to double click on an attachment to read it.
Web-based email is not automatically screened for viruses. Although
your anti-virus program should catch any hostile actions, you should
be careful about what attachments you open. In particular, any attachment
that is of type application/exe or application/midi should be deleted. |

| Replying
and Forwarding:
Be sure to check your From: email address for accuracy. If you have multiple forwards to a single mail box, it may not be what you expect. You can change it on the fly, or we can set it to whatever you like. Due to space limitations, the system does not retain a copy of sent mail. If you wish to keep a copy, send a cc: to yourself. |
