Organic Search:
"Organic Search" is a term that has been coined by internet marketers. It refers to search by relevance, as opposed to paid advertisements. Search engine optimization works with the known patterns of search in an attempt to bring a given website or page to the top of the free, or organic, listings.
Search engines exist because people need help to be able to find things in the huge World Wide Web. The "organic" part of the search quickly sorts through the various web pages that it has indexed, reading titles, descriptions and visible text. From that information, the search engine returns results in order of relevance as perceived by that engine's formulae.
The search engines sell advertising to pay for their services. Most disguise this advertising, making it appear as part of the regular search. The goal of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is to come up high in search without paying for the privilege. This is best accomplished done through the use of Relevant Content.
